How to Disable BitLocker Encryption During Windows 11 Installation | GearUpWindows In this video, we'll show you how to disable BitLocker encryption during the installation of Windows 11. Many new computers come with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which is essential for enabling BitLocker disk encryption. Regardless of whether you prefer to use BitLocker or not, Windows 11 might automatically activate it during a fresh installation. Follow these steps to prevent BitLocker from turning on automatically:- 1. Start the Windows 11 installation process. 2. On the first page of the out-of-the-box experience (OOBE), when prompted to choose a language, press the **SHIFT + F10** keyboard shortcut to open Command Prompt. 3. In the Command Prompt, type **regedit** and press Enter to launch the Registry Editor. 4. Navigate to the following path:- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control\BitLocker 5.
