Before two years ago, Microsoft had introduced Snip & Sketch screen capturing tool. It is a lot better than Snipping Tool in many ways but yet lacks several features that you can easily find in free third-party alternatives. You can open Snip & Sketch by using the shortcut key Windows logo + Shift + S.
