Before Windows 11 announcement by Microsoft, many Windows PC users by not aware of the Secure Boot and TPM module. Now, most Windows users know what Secure Boot and TPM chip is? Now, apart from the processor, RAM, and hardware, to install Windows 11, Microsoft has made Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 mandatory. That means if your computer or laptop does not support Secure Boot and TPM 2.0, you can’t install Windows 11. However, Microsoft is providing a free upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. That means if you purchase a valid product key or you have purchased your PC preinstalled Windows 10 without paying extra money, you can enjoy the latest Windows 11 on your computer or laptop. In other words, genuine Windows 10 users will get a free update to Windows 11.
After a few days of the announcement of Windows 11, hackers have got access to bypass TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to Install Windows 11. That means you can install Windows 11 without the TPM 2.0 chip and Secure Boot. However, Windows 11 is still to arrive in the public domain, which means Microsoft may patch the loophole, and in the future, you will be unable to install them on your PC.
If you are curious about the final release of Windows 11, you should check your PC hardware configuration, and if your computer or laptop is compatible with running Windows 11. Checkit is a freeware tool from WiseCleaner that checks your PC if it is compatible with Windows 11.
Checkit for Windows
Checkit is a freeware tool that is similar in nature to the Microsoft PC Health Check application. This app is based on the currently known Windows 11 system requirements that help you check whether your current PC meets the minimum requirements, such as Processor, RAM (Memory), Storage, UEFI, TPM 2.0, etc. It is a simple, lightweight, and portable program.
Microsoft-provided PC Health Check tool also helps you know whether your PC is compatible with Windows 11 or not, but it does not give you details. Hence, a third-part app like Checkit becomes handy to see if our PC can run Windows 11 or not.
Using Checkit software, you can examine your PC Windows 11 compatibility. To see if your PC is compatible with Windows 11, run and download this app and then double-clicking on it to launch. It will show the details for every hardware component required to run Windows 11 on your PC. We have run this tool on our Apple MacBook Air, and you can see in the above image, we can’t run Windows 11 without bypassing TPM 2.0.
