Windows 11 PC Health Check app is back: Check if you can install Windows 11

Microsoft has already announced that Windows 11 will be launched on 5 Oct 2021. It will be a free upgrade for eligible PCs. Before the release date, the company updated its popular Windows 11 PC Health Check app live again. Using this application, you can quickly know if your PC can run Windows 11 when it comes out.

The PC Health Check app was introduced alongside Windows 11 back in June this year. However, it was pulled back after controversies around supported systems began arising. Microsoft had come up with an updated app. However, only those enrolled with the Windows Insider program had access to this tool. Now, everyone can download and check their PC to see if they support the upcoming Windows 11.

Running Windows 11 requires a particular set of specifications, including TPM and Secure Boot, that you can check all using this official tool.

How to check if your PC is compatible with Windows 11?

To check if your PC is compatible with Windows 11, do the following steps:-

Step 1. Download the latest PC Health Check tool by visiting this link.

Step 2. Run the downloaded installation file by double-clicking on it.

Step 3. Accept the terms of Microsoft and then click the Install button.

Step 4. When installed, launch the PC Health Check tool.

Step 5. Click the big blue Check Now button to scan your computer to see if Windows 11 is compatible.

If your device supports Windows 11, you will see the message, “This PC meets Windows 11 requirements.” If your computer needs additional hardware, the PC Health Check tool will show the statement, “This PC doesn’t currently meet Windows 11 requirements.”

Don’t worry if your PC is not officially compatible with Windows 11. You can still run the latest operating system, Windows 11, on unsupported computers that meet Windows 10 minimum hardware requirements, but you need to clean install. You need to download Windows 11 ISO from the Microsoft server and then make a bootable USB. Boot into your computer with the USB drive and then install Windows 11.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Microsoft is all set to release its latest operating system, Windows 11, on October 5th, 2021. The company has already updated its PC Health Check app to allow users to check if their devices meet the system requirements. This app was introduced earlier but was withdrawn due to compatibility issues. The latest version of the app is available for everyone to download and use. If your device does not meet the official requirements for Windows 11, you can still install the operating system by making a clean install. However, it’s recommended to have a compatible device to have the best user experience.
