GUW PDF Watermark (Text & Image)

What you can do with this tool

  • Text & image watermarks: Type any text (choose color, size, angle, opacity) or place an image logo.
  • Precise placement: Center or corner positions with fine Offset X/Y controls.
  • Tile across the page: Repeat your watermark diagonally with custom Gap X/Y spacing.
  • Preview any page: Navigate (Prev/Next) to confirm the watermark looks perfect everywhere.
  • Page range: Apply to all pages, or a specific From/To range.
  • Output control: Choose PNG or JPEG (with quality) and render scale for sharper output.
  • Custom filename: Use tokens like {basename}, {date}, and {time} when saving.
  • Private by design: No sign-ups, no uploads, and no watermarks added by us.

Quick start

  1. Open the GUW PDF Watermark online tool.
  2. Click Choose PDF (or drag & drop) and let the pages load.
  3. Select Text, Image, or Both. For text, type your message and adjust size, color, opacity, and angle. For the image, pick your logo and set scale, opacity, and angle.
  4. Choose a position (Center/Corner) and, if needed, set Offset X/Y for fine placement.
  5. To tile the watermark, enable Tile across page and tune Gap X/Y.
  6. Use the preview pager to check multiple pages. Adjust until it looks right.
  7. Optionally set the output format (PNG or JPEG + quality) and render scale.
  8. Click the red Apply watermark & Export button to download your watermarked PDF.

Tips for best results

  • Sharpen text logos: Increase Render scale to 2.0× or 3.0× for crisper output (larger file sizes).
  • Keep file sizes small: Choose JPEG and lower the quality slightly (e.g., 80–88%).
  • Subtle protection: Use low opacity (15–25%) with a diagonal angle (e.g., −30°) for a classic watermark look.
  • Brand consistency: Save your preferred color/angle/offsets; the tool remembers your last-used settings.

When to use a watermark

  • Drafts, samples, or proofs you’re sharing outside your team.
  • Documents that need a light brand mark (logo) without editing the original file.
  • Invoices, quotations, or checklists that must carry a “PAID,” “SAMPLE,” or “INTERNAL” stamp.

Troubleshooting

  • No download? Some browsers block automatic downloads. Use the link shown next to the status line to open the file in a new tab, then save.
  • Looks soft? Increase Render scale or switch to PNG (lossless). PNG files are larger.
  • Logo appears huge or tiny: Adjust Scale (%) for the image watermark, then re-preview a few pages.
  • Only want a few pages: Set the From/To range before exporting.

FAQ

Does this upload my PDF?
No. Everything runs in your browser, and your files never leave your device.

Can I watermark just the first page?
Yes. Set From = 1 and To = 1, preview, and export.

Will the text remain vector?
The tool renders pages to images for maximum compatibility. To keep watermarks readable, use a higher render scale (2.0×–3.0×) or PNG.

What filename can I use?
Enter a custom pattern like {basename}-watermarked-{date}-{time}.pdf. The tool replaces the tokens automatically.
